House Arrest Technology as a public safety tool
Current House Arrest technology offers some exciting possibilities in regards to public safety. From remote alcohol monitoring and drug testing to victim notification devices; courts can now choose from a wide array of options. Is public safety the only benefit? Of course not. With shrinking budgets and swelling incarceration costs, technology may just be the next best thing instead of confining an inmate to an expensive facility that could be better suited for society's most violent offenders. Judges like options. Taxpayers like savings. Victims require safety. House arrest technology can offer it all.
